AR4CAD is a research project at T3LAB, where AR technology is investigated for industrial applications: in particular, it has been applied to improve assembly works.
The operator is guided by multi-media instructions (text, audio, animations, movies, ...) and virtual objects that are displayed where the corresponding real object should be mounted. Currently the operator sees the augmented view in a monitor. Interactions between the operator and the AR system are mostly voice based. (via YouTube byConsorzioT3LAB)
